Designation	Senior Vice President - API Engineering
Job Description	Provide leadership for the enterprise API Management program as part of the strategic Technology goal. Provide thought leadership both from a strategic and technical perspective to shape the various components of the Enterprise Management program as per the needs of the global organization. Demonstrated expertise in people management with capability to identify, recruit, develop, motivate, and retain talent. Ability to manage managers and senior technologists. Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and relationship skills. This includes experience presenting to, collaborating with, and building trusted relationships with executive management, senior management, technical mangers, and peers to influence direction. Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style. Proven experience in establishing a vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving action towards the vision through the effective management of goals and objectives. Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Desired Profile	18+ years of experience, at least 5 years in senior management roles leading large scale Technology transformation driven through an API first Strategy. Strong hands-on experience of designing strategy and technology components of a global enterprise-wide program around API Management including API catalogue, API gateway, API marketplace, API standards, API Maturity measurement etc. Strong development background – ability to engage with development teams to lead the engineering and frameworks required to establish an enterprise- wide API management tools, processes, and practices for the technology organization. Experience in implementing and working with one or more API management platforms like Apigee, Azure API Management etc. at an enterprise level Understanding of API space – fundamentals of API management, API Gateway, Web API services like REST ,SOAP, Swagger, related toolsets , best practices of API designs etc. Transformation champion able to engage both with senior leadership and technical leads to evangelize, engineer, and manage an API Management platform for the enterprise. Experience of managing and leading fast paced engineering teams, working in a matrix organization globally. Experience of working in Agile (SAFE Agile) model with cross-team interaction with Product owners, scrum master, scrum teams etc. Strong presentation and communication skills to be able to engage with senior business and technology stakeholders.
