Designation Credit Audit
Job Description
  • Policies and procedures to govern a comprehensive Loan Review Mechanism to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Pan India audit coverage and risk based scoping methodology to ensure a comprehensive and representative sample of the overall loan portfolio.
  • Quality of the credit audit to ensure effective challenge to first and second lines of defence.
  • Continuous Monitoring of the Bank’s loan portfolio and to raise issues outside of formal audit when needed.
  • Coaching and mentoring the personnel conducting credit audit.
  • Quality of work-papers to provide sufficient support for the assessments made.
Desired Profile
  • Support the HOA in the development of the risk assessment and development of an appropriate audit plan which will address key risks identified and meet relevant regulatory requirements and Board expectations that are required to be covered by IAD. Propose changes to audit plan whenever necessary.
  • Ensure early identification and escalation of risks, issues, trends and developments to relevant stakeholders.
  • Be ready to participate as team manager for assigned audit work and potentially lead the more complex audits such as multi-location high risk audits or thematic audit or Product audits.
  • Provide clear guidance, detailed review and supervision of the audit team's work to ensure that audit deliverables meet quality standards and timelines in line with the Internal Audit Policy and manual.
  • Provide guidance on business/audit technical knowledge and management skills to team leaders and team members to enable them to effectively deliver their assigned contributions for credit audit. Demonstrate leadership and ability to motivate and guide audit team leaders and members.
  • Ensure that all Regional Level Credit Audit Managers are appropriately closing the issues in timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders from Business side and second line of defence.
  • IA stakeholders - effectively collaborate with other team leaders of Branch Audits, Central Function Audits and IS Audit, other team members and Head of Audit.
