Job Details

• Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial databases
• Lead in collation, munging/ cleaning and updating essential data sets related to market intelligence
• Assist in geo tagging of non-spatial databases
• Prepare relevant maps and visualization to aid in spatial analysis
• Assist in preparing relevant maps and visualizations on GIS platform. This may involve but not be limited to
• Creating "shapefiles"; undertaking geo-processing techniques to merge geo data with other business-related data sets
• Converting physical maps into a digital form
• Designing maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data, including store locations, POIs, transport network, sales data etc.
• Undertake spatial analysis using arc toolbox and ARCMAP related extensions such as network analyst etc.
• Assist in analyzing spatial trends and draw insights
• Assist in discovering patterns and trends emerging through spatial mapping
• Share relevant insights with team to frame larger strategic expansion plans
• Periodically share market and competition related insights as lead with larger market planning team to plan new initiatives.
• Experience with mapping tools such as ARCGIS, Mapinfo, QGIS.
• High degree of proficiency with Excel, Access and other database tools.
• Added advantage proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Analytical mindset.

• Masters in urban and Regional Planning/ MBA
• Diploma/ Certification in GIS/ Spatial analytics/ Geo informatics preferred
• Bachelors degrees pertaining to Business studies/ Urban Planning/ Regional planning/ Geography
