Job Details

• Understands Production requirements and translates those into a Material schedule of releases to a vendor in a most effective manner
• Ensure right quality material is available for production at right time and at right quantity.
• Maintain proper balance of safety stock levels to meet both customer service targets and inventory level reduction targets.
• Work with existing/new vendor base to automate daily/weekly/periodic order releases, and streamline information flow from the MRP system /for replenishment process.
• Communicates as necessary with requisitioner and buyer to maintain and monitor the periodic order or agreement to ensure that no exceed to total amount or validity data releasing occurred.
• Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries.
• Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule.
• Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas of improvement
• Monitor and control inventory levels against agreed target levels
• Work with VMI (Vendor managed inventory) vendors to facilitate production and delivery to the plant to support production.
• Prepare summary/position reports on Raw, packaging material inventories including period end reports.
• Create regular statistical reports and analysis and update others in the organization
• Keeps vendor performance records for future reviewing
• Work on MRP in determining right replenishment cycles, safety stocks and continuous improvement to raws and packs inventory discrepancy
