Timely Contracting

• Placement of Annual POs for Gaseous products against Long term and short- term gas supply agreements.
• Finalization of contracts for supply of liquid products and placement of POs for same.
• Assist Sr. Sourcing Manager- IG in Design tendering and contracting strategy.
• Assist Sr. Sourcing Manager in Evaluation of Offers- analysis based on detailed cost modelling
• Get Buy-in from all stakeholders / customers on key strategies and decision.
• Regular interaction with Customers and Suppliers, MOU adherence, Timely Complaint Resolution of internal customers and Suppliers.

Contract management

• Review of contracts and harmonize contracting terms, clauses, risk management
• Assist Sr Sourcing Manager in renegotiations/ dispute management
• Change orders & price / contract amendments as maybe needed (Tracking of value / contract limits and providing necessary intimation / commencing renewal cycle on time).

Improvement Initiatives.

• Participate in Quality Assurance program, Vendor Development Program and Supplier Relationship Management Program.
• Participate in DM and TQM related activities at departmental level.

Cost Reduction Programs
Implement various cost reduction programs as per ABP/Higher Management Directives.
MIS generation:

• Generation of Monthly MIS pertaining to consumption, costs etc for Management reviews.
• Monthly review pack, MOMs etc

ABP/LTP Formulation:

• Assist Sr. Sourcing Manager- Industrial gases and Head Global IT Procurement and IG in ABP/LTP formulation.
• Provide inputs to Sr. Sourcing Manager and Head Global IT procurement and IG for preparation of category strategy.

Vendor performance analysis / Customer Satisfaction Process

• Engage with Industrial gases suppliers and users for vendor performance analysis.
• Engage with Customers for capturing requirements, pain areas and suggestions for improvement.
• Sourcing Manager Industrial Gases (Group Strategic Procurement) will work at the Group) level and will
• Be responsible for contracting, risk management and Supplier Relationship Management of Tonnage Industrial Gases procured by the client (KLNR, Jamshedpur, Others).

He/she will work closely with counterparts in TSE to ensure synergy in strategy.
The responsibility would include, but may not be limited to

(a) demand planning
(b) new vendor development
(c) risk management
(d) providing inputs for Category strategy & portfolio management etc.

• Seek to identify & evaluate potential suppliers, associated supply risk with procurement of this category and identify mitigating mechanisms needed.
• Continuously evaluate and rate the performance of vendors, products and services in consultation with key users and provide feedback to the vendors for improvement.
