Lead a team of development engineers for all commodities.
Develop a strong supplier base and implement best practices and build a preferred customer status with the suppliers we deal with.
Provide technical support or seek support during feasibility study. Discuss with Engineering on trivial feasibility issues and ensure that the issues are plugged before development.
Conduct materials accountability meeting and initiate actions on action points to ensure the production line does not get affected.
Attend all related CFT meetings for periodic review / update and action closure.
Ensure team adheres to FTR and on time delivery of parts for both production and other new developments.
Deploy the best manufacturing method, and develop systems to ensure advantage and quality of the components procured.
Constantly monitor the supplier performance in quality, delivery, and cost and create appropriate strategy to support our business.
Deploy resources according to be requirement of various projects.
Ensure that the SD & NPD team Works closely with Program managers for smooth launch of programs. Deploy best practice for the time management and adherence to commitments.
Monitor sample development, PPAP and establish bulk production and capacity at suppliers end and ensure smooth handing over of the parts to logistics.
Provide leadership role to the team and work with other functional heads in achieving business goals.
Supplier visits to assess the facilities, capabilities and approve the source.
Ensure that the supplier rejections are addressed periodically and decisions are given for disposal in time.
Ensure that the team keeps track of ECN implementation and related documents are updated.
Review and recommend PCCRs.
Review the PPAP documents and recommend for approval from QA.
Intervene in case of any delays at supplier end based on the feedback of SD team and speak to suppliers for timely resolution.
Identify the training needs of the team and recommend for the training.
Periodically review the processes or methods of operations to ensure there are no deviations without prior Approvals.
Undertake any other activities as entrusted by the HOD from time to time.
Judicially utilize the resources of the organization.
Escalate by reporting the abnormalities and key issues including employee related in writing to your immediate superior without any delay.

Responsible for discharging supervisory roles to give decision, set direction, review performance of team related to production/process initiative like Zero KM, TPM, BIS, Zero COC etc.
Responsible to Administer and implement OHSAS, EMS, Safety, BIQ, Mission 18 etc in your work area/ Dept.
Escalate by reporting the abnormalities and key issues including employee related to your immediate superior without any delay.
