The Context / Purpose of the Job 
Analyse real world data for development of classical and evolutionary optimization and simulation models for various functions and operation of Tata Steel
Develop Discrete Event/System Dynamics /Agent based simulation model in order to redesign, debottleneck and optimize processes and facility planning.
Develop, maintain and update computer programs related to optimization (classical and/or evolutionary algorithms) and simulations
Analyse and visualise data using .net, R, Python etc
Suggest opportunities for improvement based on data analytics
Proficiency in developing Human Ergonomics Models

Job responsibilities
Simulation modelling for decision making-Understand the requirement from customer and decide the information to be collected
Collect information/ data from the customer dept.
Prepare a deterministic model of the project for preliminary analysis/ justification of the need of simulation
Mapping of value chain on simulation platform if simulation is justified using Discrete Event/System Dynamics /Agent based simulation modeling tools
Validate, Develop multiple scenarios/alternatives and Run the simulation model by feeding the real process data
Discuss scenario results with the customer dept. and firm up the best scenario 
Analyse and visualise data using .net, R, Python etc
Prepare the final recommendation & submit report to concerned VP for enablement of decision making Compliance to timelines
Compliance to timelines

Exposure to Statistical techniques, Operations Research, Simulation and Process improvement will be preferred.
Relevant Experience - experience in Industrial Engineering field having experience in the areas of manpower assessment, Incentive Bonus formulation, simulation, Reengineering, supply chain activities, Improvement activities, etc.
Technical Competencies
- Understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts to identify wasteful activities and elimination of such activities
Deep knowledge of various production, mining and maintenance processes, business processes in the areas of Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance
