Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • The individual will be accountable for defining, leading and drawing insights from data and research that will make a difference to the Annual Market Plans based on compelling, non-obvious customer insights and based on a thorough understanding of the competitive MFI and emerging SFB landscape. 
  • The key challenge of the incumbent is to identify and predict trends in the industry and generate new ideas which will provide business opportunities with a focus on increasing customer base and driving the top line. S/he will be also responsible for spotting new growth opportunities across latent & emerging consumer segments amongst the banked and under banked population.

Job Requirements :

  • Ensure key decisions that help the Manager - Market Research & Consumer Insights Manager drive strategy, marketing plans, and the consumer experience is based on relevant insights and consumer data. Pragmatically this translates into keenly understanding the Marketing Challenges through conducting secondary research & insighting studies (Brand Sat, Customer Sat, and Product Sat etc.
  • Bring the voice of the consumer as well as the underlying needs into the broader organization by strong participation in a variety of meetings, and stimulate an already culture that is anchored in deep consumer understanding of the future SFB product portfolio and challenges 
  • Extensive exposure to Market Research ( Both Qualitative & Quantitative), Latest MR tools & techniques especially advanced ones such as Projective Techniques /Predictive modeling , Segment & Category Sizing etc. is desirable. Area of exposure in intense consumer-facing Industries & BFSI verticals would be a plus. Any prior experience in the MFI space will be a big advantage. 
  • Strong understanding of emerging & future Digital ecosystem (web, email, mobile and social) will be critical. Knowledge of technology landscape, platforms and products as well as vendor ecosystem in this space shall be highly preferred. 
  • MBA in Marketing, with 3 to 5 years of solid MR experience in a Tier 1 MR agency or handling MR for a Consumer facing organization preferably in the BFSI space.
