Designation Technology Development Manager - Air Purifier
Job Description
  • Manage technology development for the air purification program.
  • Manage the air purifier testing lab and develop/adapt methods for testing air purification products.
  • Help the project team in generating novel claims and generate robust data for claim substantiation.
  • Initiation and development of new technology projects to feed the innovation pipeline.
  • Initiate and lead external partnerships to bring new ideas and technologies into Unilever, building contacts through collaborations with academia, suppliers and other industries.
  • Liaise with Discover programme leaders to bring new ideas from Discover 
  • Work with marketing & GDC project leaders to define the longer term innovation / technology roadmap
  • Ability to identify new business relevant technology insights, develop technologies and evaluation of technical feasibilities.
  • Proven ability to lead external collaborations and deliver associated work plans to successful completion.
  • Passion for building strong internal and external networks.
  • Excellent (written & verbal) communication skills with the ability to influence a wide range of audiences.
  • Brings consumer perspective to all aspects of technical work, with an ability to link technical insights to consumer benefits.
  • Working within and leading cross functional teams, progressing new technologies through the innovation pipeline.
Desired Profile
  • A proven track record of applying knowledge of air pollution, filtration and fluid dynamics preferably to address air purification problems.
  • Previous experience in development of consumer durables in areas of air purification, air conditioning and fans.
  • Previous project leadership experience.
  • Previous experience leading third-party relationships.
