Providing both technical and consulting perspective to business leaders at an appropriate level of information encapsulation.
Lead technical build-outs of various reporting / BI tools that enable analysis, modelling and / or advanced data visualization.
Perform advanced quantitative and statistical analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve business performance.
Generate deep insights through the analysis of data and understanding of operational processes and turn them into actionable recommendations.
May develop models which are related to credit analysis utilizing various predictive modelling algorithms and statistical tools.
Work closely with business partners, data stewards, project/program managers, and other IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound organizational decisions.
Designing, developing and deploying large-scale Machine Learning systems using rich online and offline datasets and a wide variety of big data tools.
Apply critical thinking skills and perform advanced analytics with the goal of solving complex and multi-faceted business problems.
Demonstrates industry knowledge by leveraging new age analytical tools or solutions and apply them at work to drive results. Able to hold their perspective in discussions with senior and experienced partners.
Be a talent magnet by collaborating with various universities and leveraging network across companies to build and structure a comprehensive analytics organization.
Coaching team members to operate at higher level of dimensionality to innovate and bring in game changing ideas to fruition.
Liaison with other analytics team at the bank to understand various solutions and cross pollinate, as applicable, and thereby effectively create and manage an ecosystem of analytics.
Expected to engage with partners at a strategic level, including conceptualizing, agreeing and driving initiatives which add value to the business.

• Ph.D or Masters in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences.
• Recognized industry leader in analytics with 18 to 20 years of experience, 5 years of leadership experience which must in wholesale business groups such as commercial lending or corporate & investment banking verticals.
• 5 to 7 years in a GIC / GCC environment working in a matrix organization.
• Strong domain knowledge related to various products offered within Wholesale Banking group, which includes commercial lending, cash management, and investments.
• Familiarity with banking needs of small business, middle market, and large corporate.
• Hands on experience personally developing predictive models, conducting portfolio analysis for wholesale customers.
• Experience in leading large scale production reporting environments on at least two separate BI tools.
• Data exploration and preparation using SAS / SQL or R or any statistical tool. At least 3-5 projects with hands-on experience in the area of data science with demonstrable knowledge of analytical, technical, statistical and foundational aspects.
• Prior experience of attending prestigious conferences as an attendee or as panellist or speaker is weighed heavily.
• Preferred location is Bangalore / Hyderabad
• Good to have certifications in Data Science and / or BI Reporting tools
• Demonstrated ability leading large analytic function of a financial services organization
• Ability to engage and build relationship with senior stakeholders in an matrix organization
• Experience driving global projects which leads to change, especially through analytics.

• A seasoned, relationship-driven executive who will have the style and sensitivity to work within a highly complex business environment. Multi-cultural sensitivity a must.
• Good understanding of Six Sigma, Lean, etc. and a track record of continuous improvement through usage of the above quality tools will be advantageous.
