Job Description
  • Preparation/review of the income statement and balance sheet and other financial statement notes including variance analysis and commentaries
  • Preparation and review of monthly/quarterly deliverables relating to MIDIS consolidated position
  • Regulatory compliance for MIDIS
  • Preparation of investor reports and responses for queries from external and internal stakeholders
  • Performing consolidation accounting control checks
  • Working on projects for implementation of new accounting standards, restructures, acquisitions etc.
  • Advising financial control teams on group presentation and consolidation accounting
  • Coordinating internally with business teams for various inputs used in deliverables
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Liaising with external fund administrators
  • Ensuring adherence to timetable and maintaining a high quality of deliverables
  • Ensuring integrity and completeness of financial records and ensuring compliance with finance control standards
  • Continuously innovate with focus to improve process – enhance efficiencies and add value; ensuring quality consciousness in all aspects of the team.
  • Establish a thorough understanding of the systems used in MIDIS, focusing on the Titan system, excel Models and third-party systems which cover a range of requirements include portfolio valuations, fee invoicing, new business allocation to portfolios and miscellaneous client and internal reporting.
  • Design and implement process improvements to streamline various business processes and models
Desired Profile
  • Postgraduate accounting qualification, CA or CPA
  • 5-7 years of relevant post qualification experience
  • Willingness to travel overseas.
  • Willing to work in shifts.
  • A strong background of Financial Accounting and Reporting Services is essential.
  • High accuracy, strong numeracy and a good attention to detail
  • Have advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to tight deadlines, both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Be highly motivated, proactive, and be able to execute critical work streams with limited supervision and direction
  • Strong prioritisation skills, the ability to deliver within tight timelines, show effectiveness in your planning and ensuring quality output whilst demonstrating excellent attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbally and written are desirable.
