Job Details

• Lead a team of software and systems engineers on projects used by millions of users, be directly responsible for PlayStation's stellar uptime record.
• Own end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical code delivery services. Build automation to prevent problem recurrence to eventually automate response to all non-exceptional service conditions, while finding problem root causes and eliminating them.
• Lead by example, care for your team, and establish credibility with the quality of your and your team's technical execution.
• Manage on-call rotations

• 5+ years management experience in complex, enterprise ecosystems. Experience managing DevOps or SRE teams is a plus.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and building/managing a contiguous continuous delivery pipeline (continuous integration, test, deployment, and operation)
• Understanding of AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudFormation, EKS
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems with scripting experience in Shell, Perl or Python.
• Understanding of CI and CD technologies including but not limited to Jenkins, Helm, Spinnaker
• Hands-on technical experience combined with strong management and communication skills.
• Capable of technical deep-dives into code, deployment architecture, networking, operating systems and storage, yet verbally and cognitively agile enough to hold your own in a strategy discussion with PlayStation executive teams.
• Demonstrated expertise in recruiting and managing a team of bright, experienced engineers on large scale projects.
• Expertise in problem solving and analyzing global scale distributed systems.
