Job Description
  • Generate new insurance business to achieve defined sales and revenue targets jointly with wealth product team
  • Create and manage an effective Sales Tracker to measure and manage activity levels at Telemarketing Agency (TMA)
  • Continuously improve the quality of sale and key sales ratios by organizing required trainings for TMA or launching sales enablers, as required.
  • Providing timely MIS as required relating to the various aspects of the business – Drop offs, Issued business, connectivity counts etc.
  • Co-ordinating with Insurance Company’s representatives on a regular basis and ensuring smooth functioning of the tele sales channel in line with SCB policies and procedures
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance to all statutory requirements. To check if all the required documents and records are in place, wherever applicable.
  • Compliance with local Regulators and laws:
  • The role holder would be responsible for ensuring 100% compliance with the country laws and regulations especially IRDAI regulations around telemarketing. These include but are not limited to:
  • Monitoring of live calls
  • Ensuring callbacks and call monitoring are done on a timely basis and on the required number of records
  • Callers are IRDAI certified before starting of calling
  • Only the approved script is used for calling purposes
  • Ensure calls are conducted in a polite and courteous manner in line with clients expectation of SCB
  • All calls are recorded and archived as per requirement"
  • Periodic review of the existing norms and policies.
  • Ensure required TMA staffs are trained on anti-money laundering, mis-selling, mis-representation and other fraud and customer protection principles.
Desired Profile
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience. Experience in telemarketing of Insurance would be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the insurance market and competition products will be beneficial.
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in handling similar role in financial industry would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong orientation towards internal customer satisfaction and servicing.
  • Level of the individual has high dependency on technical ability and personal effectiveness.
