Job Description
  • He must be capable of preparing programs of intended proactive customer site visits and recording on a weekly basis in the recognized format all such activities. He will prepare on a monthly basis a review detailing his quotations/ order levels for presentation to Service Business Manager.
  • He is expected to provide the Service Business Manager ongoing appraisal of the market tends with support documents pertaining to his area. This information shall be of the highest quality and totally valid to the specific interest of the business.
  • Upon receipt of a replacement enquiry, the incumbent will visit the site to take off quantities of the mechanical and electrical works at site. He will then prepare a bill of quantities and obtain quotes from the relevant sub-contractors.
  • He will use his project experience to prepare cost estimates of the installation work and he should then negotiate prices with the suppliers and sub-contractors to this effect. He will also be responsible for developing at least 2-3 suppliers of each item.
  • He will be responsible for ensuring that the project planning is done correctly, and with necessary precautions so as to limit Company’s exposure. He will ensure that the project is within the cost estimates prepared at sales stage. The incumbent will develop a supplier base and negotiate prices for all items, thereby ensuring that Company margin could be maximized.
  • He will be responsible for rigorously implementing and applying the health and safety policy and procedure of Company in all the contracts. He should also ensure that all Company Sub contractors strictly adhere to the health & safety policy. If deemed necessary he should arrange for basic health and safety courses for the sub-contractors prior to assigning them to the sites.

  • Promote sales of Service, Maintenance, Operation, Spares Sales and replacement business. Maximize and develop maintenance base in close cooperation with the service manager. All new plants commissioned will be pursued with the view to securing a valid maintenance Contract.
  • Develop good working relationship with existing customers and promote, Maintain new customer relationships.
  • Encourage the continuous update of equipment, replacement of old plant, sales of spares wherever possible.
  • To ensure that any jobs quoted have an achievable satisfactory profit margin following execution.
  • Remain fully conversant with all new products development.
  • Continue to remain close to the industry and where ever possible identify any potential new areas of business.
  • Ensure necessary business reports are forwarded on weekly/ monthly basis.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the Service Business Manager.
