Job Description
  • Gain alignment on the organizational strategy with internal stakeholders (Supply, finance, Marketing, P&O etc.) and Drive actions to implement strategy and deliver against cost saving activities.
  • Participate in building the annual operating plan and pre plan the activities in advance.
  • Negotiate and challenge Vendors quality, price, service, lead times, minimum order quantities & payment terms in order to get the best value for every money spent.
  • Provide expertise and market intelligence for the maximizing the opportunities with vendor base created.
  • Provide Commercial leadership for new vendor introductions, agreements and approvals.
  • Provide the commercial support to the activity management work streams.
  • Deploy Best in Class Processes for purchase
  • Define & execute to best in class process of procure to pay and ensure 100% P2P policy.
  • Accountable for new vendor and specification introduction/changes including vendor screening, selection and follow up on validation with internal stakeholders
  • Screen & verify the existing vendors & create a pool of verified vendors.
  • Contribute to World-class management of Working Capital
Desired Profile
  • Provide necessary support to internal stakeholders ensuring business continuity.
  • Determine and manage internal client’s needs. Communicate as required with global/regional buyers and suppliers
  • Accountable to ensure that vendor performance reviews are conducted bi-annually.
  • Support SQA in developing vendor performance scorecards and provide commercial leadership for the proactive measurement of vendor performance (Vendor compliance scorecards)
  • Ensures that Continuous Improvement plans are in place and followed through with major vendors.
  • Manage & develop day to day relationship with vendors and Provide commercial leadership to resolve disputes, issues and non-conformance when internal stakeholders are unable to during the contractual period.
  • Monitor commodity trends periodically and provide local expertise and market intelligence for the category teams in order to anticipate future risks/opportunities
  • Provide support to sustainability initiatives (local/regional/global) to ensure compliance to targets

  • Provide local expertise and market intelligence for the global teams
  • Provide Commercial leadership for new vendor introductions and approvals
  • Attend external forums and maintain market knowledge on new trends
