Job Description

Strategy:

  • Consults with stakeholders to analyse, define, and prioritize business requirements and functional and operational specifications for FMO Projects/Programmes.
  • Formulates and defines program scope and objectives for the work stream with thorough understanding of business processes in a specific business domain.

Business:

  • In depth understanding of FM products, FMO functions, processes and regional market environments.

People and Talent :

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior colleagues
  • Assist with capacity planning for colleagues assigned to projects/programmes

Risk Management:

  • Assess, track and monitor all risks and issues related to project/programme delivery
  • Review new processes and procedures resulting from Change delivery against the Operational Risk Framework

Governance :

  • Support business case development that can be fed into global investment portfolio governance or FMO change governance / steerco

  • Regional & Country FMO function Leads
  • Support functions (e.g. Risk, Compliance, Legal)
  • FM Front Office & FM Change
  • FM Technology

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical consultation concerning business implications of complex application development projects.
  • Supports testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems and provides guidance to junior team members on complex testing tasks including case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional test execution.
  • Gathers and analyses information and develops recommendations to address major business objectives that span multiple, global business and technology areas.
  • Works with business and technology teams to develop technology roadmap strategy.
  • Trains users on new or enhanced applications and/or systems of higher complexity.
  • Serves as point of contact or subject matter expert for the business on specific systems.
Desired Profile
  • Minimum 5 years business analysis experience (familiarity with process documentation and modelling, workshop facilitation, business requirements documentation, gap analysis, solution design and support during delivery / testing phase).
  • Experience and deep understanding of FM business in the front-office and back-office operations and trade lifecycle for FX cash, derivatives and securities is necessary.
  • Experience in managing market and regulatory driven change in emerging markets would be an advantage.
  • Highly organised, independent and self-motivated. Able to influence stakeholders and guide junior analysts in delivering change.
  • Self-disciplined and a self-starter who is not afraid to challenge status-quo, demonstrates personal leadership to drive forward projects and change agenda. Able to bring their own point of view and recommendations.
  • Ability to comprehend & map Business and Technical Architecture in solutioning.
  • People management experience will be an advantage
  • Experience in delivering trading or financial markets application deployment or enhancement.
  • Keen awareness of technology changes in financial markets, open-mindedness and motivated to take on change and challenges.
  • Strong financial analytics skills (Excel, VBA) and ability to present results to facilitate communication (PowerPoint), process documentation skills (MS Visio), project management tools for planning and reporting (Clarity)
  • Experience in Agile delivery (e.g. Scrum) would be an advantage.
  • Degree in Accounting (or similar), preferably a Masters
  • PMP or CSM Certified, preferred
  • Fluent proficiency in English language (written and spoken); clear and concise communications.
