Job Description
  • Support the Program management of prioritised investments to ensure delivery on time, within budget and realisation of benefits.
  • Ensure program/project deliverables comply with the Banks’ program and project management policies and the highest standards of good governance are maintained. This will include reporting to senior management through formal committees/reports, working with Technology, PMO and COO colleagues, and management of these processes for Digital Platforms.
  • Proactively engage with project teams to resolve areas of process non-compliance, escalating to management if needed
  • Manage risks and regulatory issues associated with product development in Digital Platforms.
  • Analyse and report financial variance and take corrective action to keep financials and run rate healthy. Elicit consistent behaviour from all functional project teams on financial discipline
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of product and process performance for regular and responsive management reporting.
  • Manage the repository of artefacts
  • Facilitate consolidation of Release Notes
  • Ensure all product compliance, and risk governance procedures are abided by, including PPG and NFRC requirements. Constantly review applicable internal policies and procedures to prevent gaps against risk governance framework.
  • Support the Security agenda
  • Ensure Clarity, the Project Mgt platform is the global source of project data; drive quality and ensure timely updates.
  • Support UVT post implementation of application releases
  • Support/Lead engagement with technology partners, vendors, group and local stakeholders to design, develop and deliver new capabilities in existing and new digital platforms with project ownership or product ownership responsibility. Ensure new services are executed in line with the strategic goals and committed return.
  • Support the team in various ad-hoc projects undertaken from time to time.
Desired Profile
  • Education to degree level or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in project management - Certified Project Manager, either CITPM or PMP, with 3 – 5 years of experience in managing IT projects and software/application development lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of the product development process including software development methodologies such as Agile.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with a passion for making data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in the use of project management and collaboration tools is required (E.g. Microsoft Project, Confluence, Jira Software, Kanban Boards, etc.)
  • Knowledge of technology, tools and process related to data governance, master data management and data lineage is required
  • Effective and persuasive communication including expertise in English language both written and spoken, with strong presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to articulate without ambiguity.
  • Able to produce quality documentation which may include management reporting, client-facing materials and project planning materials.
  • Strong stakeholder management and proven interpersonal skills to actively engage with cross-cultural teams across our footprint markets.
