Job Details

• Understand detailed product user stories, non-functional requirements (e.g. security, performance, load, privacy, accessibility) and acceptance criteria.
• Understand high-level product objectives and design an automation test approach that will provide a suitable level of product quality information at each stage of product development. Provide information about expected timescales and effort for the purposes of release planning
• Design and execute functional and regression test cases.
• Able to create Automation scripts using either one of the following languages Java, JavaScript or C#.
• Ensure test metrics are updated and reported on time to support status communications and stakeholder decision making.
• Manage defects to ensure all relevant information is correctly recorded, and defects are triaged, followed up, and retested for effective resolution
• Design, build and maintain environments and tools to ensure optimal test automation, efficiency and effectiveness
• Demonstrate initiative and leadership in the development and implementation of quality improvement plans for the technical environment

• Strong automated testing skills using standard or bespoke test tools and techniques such as Selenium RC and IDE, JMeter, Load Runner or equivalent.
• Good development/scripting skills in common languages like Java, JavaScript, C# and standard web development languages like HTML, CSS.
• Strong working experience in test automation frameworks like Cucumber and Protractor is highly advantageous.
• Working experience in CI environments like with Jenkins and GIT.
• Familiarity with QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution e.g. JIRA
• A good understanding of Agile, and ideally a background working in a Scrum environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of Software Testing and relevant quality assurance (QA) technical experience
• Minimum of 4 years Test automation experience
• Testing experience of cloud based application – Salesforce particularly around Marketing and Sales process.
• Experience with end-to-end testing involving multiple complex systems
• Ability to craft business requirements into positive and negative functional tests
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Software Quality Assurance Certification from an industry recognized organization
