• Plan and control the delivery of medical device development projects over the full system development lifecycle (planning, requirements, design, build, verification, design transfer, validation).
• Provide leadership and direction by engaging with professional associates, team/technical leads and individual contributors. Sets a high expectation for results; demonstrates a personal example of work ethic and accountability. Empower appropriately while holding people to account.
• Define and manage key planning and control deliverables including (but not limited to) schedule, budget, risk register and resource plans.
• Track progress against plan. Use risk management practices to mitigate or countermeasure issues. Challenge the project team to achieve on time results and deliver projects in line with agreed schedule and budget.
• Experienced in the application of foundational DBS tools including Daily Management (DM), Visual Management (VM) and Problem Solving Process (PSP). Able to coach behaviours and outcomes within project teams through introduction of DBS tools for use in problem solving and process improvement.
• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with the applicable LBS Quality Management System (QMS), applicable standards. Participate in internal and external audits where required to demonstrate compliance.
• Support hiring process of new team members, match competencies with job requirements. Highlight training needs of existing team members.

• Experience of Windows/MFC/C++ program development; hands-on experience of software/system architecture design.
• 5+ years of experience with design and development of embedded software.
• 3+ years of experience in project/team management with exposure to the systems or software development lifecycle.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills in the English language.
• Excellent problem solving skills; strong team player, flexible (different time zones) and creative.
• Experience in the area of Agile/Scrum software development.
• Capable of handling cultural differences in a global oriented team.
