Job Description
  • Develop and lead on the delivery of designated communications plans and outputs for assigned projects/activities in line with the overarching Corporate Communications strategy. Includes corporate reputation issues.
  • Audit and improve all media relationships; establish database of contacts and potential contacts including digital (bloggers etc.) Prioritize contacts into tiers, focusing most effort on tier one contacts and key areas: broadcast and digital.
  • Edit and approve external-facing content as directed by the VP Comms.
  • Lead team in the creation of content; teach and mentor staff members to work independently in line with global processes.
  • Deliver content on time and as directed.
  • Develops and leads elements of regional/global activities in line with management’s direction
  • Deliver communications plans/campaigns for designated business goals as directed

  • Lead and mentor media relations team to manage media relationships, answer media inquiries in a timely manner in addition to press vehicle loans.
  • Assess and execute media relations activities with relationship building balanced by analysis to ensure activities are in line with supporting business objectives.
  • Works in partnership with colleagues at NMIPL and RNAIPL business functions and senior management following the direction set by the VP to develop materials for external use and support executive participation in external events
  • Drives a global mindset for quality of work and communications campaign plans to support business goals set by the company
Desired Profile
  • Extensive media relations experience with an emphasis on brand, corporate and product communications and a strong and acknowledged track record of results.
  • Experience in other areas of the marketing mix e.g. above the line advertising, brand management and especially digital engagement a major plus.
  • Previous work managing team members, agencies, and executing large-scale media events such as press conferences, product events (test drives)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communications skills; must be able to write under pressure.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information; understand the needs and interests of target audiences; define and articulate messages; generate effective and compelling content for a variety of vehicles (news releases, articles, Q&A documents); create and edit copy; develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Significant experience in formulating and managing communications strategies/plans within a complex organization.
