Job Description
  • Building and maintenance of strong, positive relationships with our existing clients and potential targets by connecting with key contacts and delivering market leading reinsurance solutions.
  • Improving bottom line of the company by effective risk management using Risk Scoring Model and market the model as a tool for Risk Management with the client companies.
  • Liaison with key AURA clients managing their expectations on e-underwriting deliverables. Market AURA to prospective clients with enhanced features and potential to save cost with automation and effective risk management
  • Participate and facilitate AURA commercial discussions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide Quote support – Review product quotes based on distribution mix, target market, product boundary conditions, underwriting practices and benefits payable and suggest risk management controls for managing profitability of the product and also identify business development opportunities
  • Online process review to identify potential gaps in process, systems, profile & underwriting guidelines to manage the online portfolio within the pricing assumptions
  • Identifying underwriting business opportunities (e.g. Upsell/Cross-sell etc.) for a profitable and high volume portfolio
Desired Profile
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy/Medicine and specific related work experience.
  • 5 years underwriting experience in life, CI, ADIB and Accidental TPD in the Indian environment.
  • Strong industry knowledge with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment of Underwriting
  • Strong verbal and written communication with good computer knowledge Preferred:
  • 5+ years in life insurance underwriting (case underwriting of life applicants).
  • Insurance/Reinsurance underwriting.
  • Experience in setting underwriting standards, evaluating new procedures and new research developments. Communication Skills:
  • Ability to seek agreement or settlement in contentious or potentially contentious situations. Complexity of Reasoning:
  • Activities requiring the balancing of a number of objectives within a given timeframe by drawing on various resources.
  • Identification and weighting of new and diverse consequences using recognized criteria. Adaptation of methods to obtain an appropriate result in an unprecedented situation
