Job Description
  • Lead L2 Production Support Engineers, help L3 teams and projects teams in fixing the issues and deployments.
  • Identify root cause for production incidents and lead the relevant operation teams to implement necessary actions to prevent recurrence
  • Provide strategic and tactical solutions for technical issues.
  • Ensure the SLA for the incident tickets.
  • Support fixes and emergency application changes.
  • Assist in ad-hoc releases and perform Tech Live-Verifications for application and Infra changes.
  • Handle day to day incidents related to multiple PeopleSoft modules. This includes participating in incident calls and working with application teams and other systems to recover services.
  • Lead investigation and recovery actions in incident management calls.
  • Lead and drive the root cause analysis for such incidents.
  • Lead and provide technical expertise and leadership to support team.
  • Propose and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Effective stakeholder management of a diverse group of people including management, business and other platform SMEs.
  • Maintain and monitor all aspects for the proper running of the application.
Desired Profile
  • - 8+ years of PeopleSoft Financials Technical Production/Development experience
  • - Proven leadership and management skills with 3 or more years of managing/leading PeopleSoft Technical resources
  • - Experience with PeopleSoft implementation and major upgrades involving multiple modules
  • - Expert knowledge of most of the following areas: PeopleCode, PeopleTools, Workflow, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker
  • - In depth knowledge of reporting tools (PS Query, Tree Manager, PS/nVision, Crystal Reports, SQR, XML Publisher)
  • - Thorough Knowledge of Infrastructure & configuration of Application Server, Web Server and Process Scheduler
  • - Working knowledge of DB2 Database and AIX/Linux Operating Systems
  • - Ability to estimate the level of effort, effective triaging of issues, timely resolutions of user problems or issues
  • - Hands on technical/implementation experience in at least 3 of following PeopleSoft financials modules GL, AR/BI, AP, EX, and AM
  • - Ability to multi-task, provide routine status updates to lead and stakeholders, and meet project deadlines
  • - Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly and articulately.
