Job Details

• Receives operational supervision from a Project Engineer, Structural Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
• Supervises and provides technical direction to Engineers, designers and modelers as assigned.
• Maintains relationships with supervisory personnel of engineering disciplines and administrative personnel within the project group in order to coordinate the structural work.
• Maintains contacts with clients as directed, suppliers and appropriate field personnel to ensure that both client and company's structural requirements are met.
• Preliminary and detailed design of Viaduct, Metro Elevated stations, new bridges, culverts and retaining walls, and rehabilitation of existing structures;
• Conduct inspections of existing bridges, culverts and retaining walls and prepare reports;
• Prepare sketches for CAD staff and review CAD drawings;
• Prepare technical construction specifications;
• Liaise with contractors and owners during design and construction;
• Perform complex bridge engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders.

• Extensive knowledge of relevant Metro and bridge design codes and standards, like AASHTO, ASCE, ACI , CIRIA CHBDC, AREMA etc.
• Good knowledge of MTO practice manuals, standards and policies, including CPS
• Experience with structural design software such as Midas, STATIK, Staadpro, Ideasttica etc.
• Experience with inspection, analysis and design, preparing contract documents, and contract administration support
• Proven verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
