• Contribute to all aspects of Product Development activities 
• Execute and implement brand strategies
• Execute seasonal line release activities
• Identify and assist in developing quick response products 
• Offer input to the brands annual plan
• Stay informed on customer trends and what is selling both globally and locally
• Gain a complete understanding of our competition and their pricing strategies for multiple markets
• Partner with design on seasonal point of view and commercialization for optimal profitability
• Participate in fit test and line adopt meetings
• Very strong communication skills includes presentation, influencing and negotiation skills
• May coach lower level Merchants
• Measured on revenue, MGP% and equity measures for geographic clusters

• Minimum 3 years direct merchandising experience working at an apparel manufacturer or marketer
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word & Excel)
• Knowledge of garment design & construction
• Knowledge of domestic & offshore suppliers and sources
• Knowledge of cost of goods
• Ability to perform inventory planning & volume forecasting
• Strong planning & organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills includes influencing & negotiation skills
• Demonstrates flexibility & initiative with minimal direction
• Primarily works in an office environment 
• Extensive computer use (min of 6 hours a day)
