• Develops detailed understanding of major processes and supporting technologies.
• Works with product managers and technical teams to understand product requirements and platform capabilities
• Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) and where necessary, Low Level Designs (LLDs) describing IT systems changes
• Validate HLDs with user communities of the systems affected
• Work with IT systems development teams to ensure understanding and compliance to HLDs produced
• Review Low Level Designs (LLDs) produced by IT systems development teams for compliance to HLDs.
• Provide leadership on multiple projects to drive the architecture artefacts, handle escalations, resolve complicated design issues etc.
• Proactively resolve gaps in the designs as they are found, through the build and test cycles
• Provides mentor support to other architects during implementation of projects, manages design change requests.
• Gains agreement for designs/models from stakeholders
• Contributes to the evaluation of applications through industry and functional knowledge for particular functional domains
• Co-ordinates input from technical specialists to understand solution options and data requirements for business.
• Provides designs for complex solutions involving multiple integrated applications, mapping solution features to business requirements
• Ensure consistency and alignment of business solutions to Information model
• Documents complex designs
• Ensure consistency in conformed dimensions, data cleansing, data integrity, data quality across implementations.
• Documents data flows and data models to support the usage of information in the enterprise
• Gains agreement for designs/models from stakeholders
• Contributes to the evaluation of applications through industry and functional knowledge for particular functional domains
• Defines required enhancements to applications to support  business functions, working with vendors and development teams
• Reviews application and integration designs to ensure compliance with solution designs and technology blueprints

• 7+ Years of total IT Architecture experience with minimum 4 years in B2B telco.
• Skilled in technical development design & implementation, with experience in IT/systems development in a complex environment.
• Prior experience at least two large projects in the product introduction life cycle in Telecom Domain. 
• Knowledge to act as Design authority.
• Demonstrable knowledge and practical use of product modelling techniques including Entity Relationship Diagramming and UML class and object modelling
• Good experience in the BSS systems and processes supporting Sales (ideally C4C), Quoting (ideally Oracle Big Machines), Ordering (ideally Siebel) and Billing (ideally, Kenan/FX, Oracle BRM) of telco services.
• Good experience in service assurance/fault management processes and platforms, preferably Siebel, SMARTS, Netcool and InfoVista.
• Good experience with XML and SOAP/REST-based web services/EAI.
• Experience on Data Migration, Modelling and Integration tools are desirable.
• Good understanding of Sales and Quoting processes and workflow
• Good understanding of service delivery processes and workflow.
• Experience in service activation platforms and integration, preferably Netcracker is preferable.
• Practical understanding of business to business layer 3 services such as Internet Access, MPLS-based IP VPN and IPSec, and layer 2 services such as Ethernet
• 4+ Years good programming experience and 3 years minimum in technical design area.
• Must be highly customer focused and understand the customers requirements
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise workload and defined deadlines
• Experience of problem analysis and resolution
• Able to work on own initiative
• Ability to manage workload effectively
• Liaise effectively with other teams where necessary
• Flexible in approach, and prepared to assist other technical disciplines
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
• Excellent analysis skills and foresight / understanding of issues.
