Providing technical support in the areas of pretreatment & electro deposition facility design, installation, commissioning.
Lead material conversions/ new technology introductions in PT/ED.
Implementation of standard specifications / BOP for all the projects.
Support the paint shop to resolve quality issues related to surface treatment and provide solutions for optimizing the cost.
Coordination with the suppliers to perform upfront testing to achieve flawless material conversions and process optimizations.
Designing of new layouts and facilities for improving paint shop metrics
Preparing business cases, capacity enhancement studies, Program & Launch support.
Providing training to the shop engineers on process control.
Interact with global counterparts about the regional PT/ED developments and support achieve the department objectives.
Maintain project documentation & records as per policies.

Sound knowledge on metal cleaning, pretreatment, electro deposition, system & facility design, process parameters, commissioning & troubleshooting, performance testing etc.,
Good knowledge on overall automotive paint shop manufacturing processes and concepts like FMEA, Lean, SPC & Quality tools.
Good communication skills (verbal & written).
Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
Ability to work as a part of the team with people of different functions and backgrounds.
Should have minimum 10 years experience from automotive OEM paint shop on manufacturing or technical services function in PT/ED.
