Execute and provide guidance for the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements.
Lead business initiatives in design, materials, manufacturing, quality and/or productivity.
Define and develop product processes related to design, analysis, test, materials, manufacture, quality and/or productivity.
Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organization.
Lead technical reviews and participate as a reviewer.
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate.
Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments.
Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
Apply knowledge of Power Transformer and reactors design, decision making skills, troubleshooting, collaborative methodologies, best practices and proven processes to deliver a quality design deliverable within schedule and at optimum cost. This specific position will lead a set of electrical designers and ensure delivery of design for varied range of voltages HV to UHV.
Responsible for development and leading power transformer tender and contract execution designs in coordination with commercial/sourcing/tendering teams as per customers specifications and the Client's global design norms.
Carrying out diligent study of specification, assessing complexity and risk, contributing, checking and reviewing designs, carrying out wide array of calculations and simulations based on the Client's design guidelines and software tools and guiding team members to carry out same.
Conducting Project technical risk analysis, design gate reviews within global organization and with consultants, customers.
Meeting with customers for brand promotion, training, seminars, resolutions etc.
Coordinating and ensuring timely design deliverables in totality.
To produce/check/review drawings/documentation for manufacturing, testing & new developments.
Coordination with productions, quality, sourcing, testing etc for smooth flow of line.
Planning and coordinating/collaborating local design activities within worldwide factories network.
Coordination with global R & D and global competence centers.
Developing competencies, training and mentoring team members.

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. Post-graduation in HV engineering would be an added advantage.
12 to 18 years of experience in Electrical design of EHV & UHV Power Transformers and Shunt Reactors.
Excellent oral/written communication skills in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to engage and communicate effectively with global teams.
Experience in other products such as series reactors, special transformers etc would be an added advantage. Thorough understanding of Power Transformer electrical design, thermal design, dielectrics, short circuit strength, transformer applications etc.
Experience in 2D/3D finite element analysis/Simulation would be an added advantage.
Experience on Microsoft office and tools.

At least 5 years of experience in successfully leading a team of Electrical design engineers.
