Job Details

• Manage the strategic plan to ensure such plans provide for the safety and health of personnel, equipment and environment to optimal extraction of the resource
• Manage the strategic plan and the monthly production plans to comply with the company vision to ensure they meet the criteria for safe and effective production and are in line with the strategic plans
• Oversee the operations of the department, conduct peer review of Level 1 projects and ensure department optimizes the use of resources and projects in order to provide a cost effective return to the company
• Provide plans and actions for managing Total Suspended Solids to meet environmental limits. Provide plans and actions for mine dewatering to meet the strategic plan
• Manage the mine training function and ensure the department provides comprehensive programmes that meet the changing needs of the mining function.
