Job Description

  • Good to have PMP / CSM certification.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant IT experience in design, development and technical management of IT projects.

  • 12 to 15 years of IT experience. Should have worked as a project manager for at least 4 years.
Desired Profile
  • Experience of managing minimum team size of 10 - 12 members.
  • Resource management – should have experience in people management, work allocation, and their appraisals.
  • Building and managing an effective team from offshore centre. Includes hiring, training, coaching and measuring the effectiveness of the team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews of team members, identify areas of improvement and give feedback.
  • Ability to manage change and effectively pass on the information down the line to concerned teams for smoother execution.
  • Delegate and allocate responsibilities efficiently to manage projects end to end.
  • Should have hands on experience in MSPO tool.
  • Responsible for supporting number of assigned projects by working closely with Project Managers to offer support and guidance on adherence to global project methodology and governance requirements.
  • Responsible for working with Project Managers to ensure all governance updates including reports, plans and updates are submitted on a weekly basis to feed into Portfolio reporting. Ensure inputs meet defined quality levels and clearly state the delivery status.
  • Constructively challenge Project Managers to ensure accurate status is reported.
  • Manages resources requests on behalf of their assigned projects.
  • Ensures that the project management tool always contains the most recent information for the in-flight projects.
  • Actively monitors governance inputs to help identify overall trends for the assigned projects.
  • Produces a monthly report detailing the current Portfolio financial summary information and overall health, highlighting exceptions as appropriate.
  • Review and constructively challenge Change Requests raised by their assigned Projects prior to Submission. Manage the submission and approval process on behalf of the projects.
  • Supports the weekly Project Team Meetings and Project Delivery Board meetings to ensure they are run efficiently including preparation of standard packs, prompts discussion on key risks / issues where necessary and performs all post meeting administration.
  • Be responsible for EPMO standards and methods, ensuring processes and template are maintained in line with industry best practice.
  • Supports project managers in on-going coaching of the team members and those involved in delivery of business and IT Change.
  • Should have experience working in onshore-offshore delivery model.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients.
