BREAKDOWN, PREDICTIVE AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

• Responsible for Predictive and preventive maintenance, trouble shooting and overhauling of steam turbines and centrifugal compressors  & Reciprocating compressors.
• Understanding of operational data to identify and detect anomalies for turbines & compressors
• Preventive, Predictive maintenance & trouble shooting of other Rotary Equipments in Fertilizer Industry (Single stage (Dynamic, Gear, reciprocating & screw), Single stage double suction, Multistage Pumps, Fan, blowers etc.).
• Responsible for maintaining and upkeep of all equipments in the respective areas.
• Responsible for carrying out day to day maintenance jobs in his area in consultation with Process Engineer.
• Ensuring that the jobs given on contract are carried out covering all safety aspects.
• Planning in consultation with Manager/AM - Projects for revenue / capital jobs in the area.
• Identification and maintaining all spares, tools in the area. If required, identifying the vendor for purchase of new equipments on need basis.
• To plan yearly preventive maintenance schedule for avoiding breakdown of the equipment
• Completion of improvement projects and tasks cascaded for Babrala works objectives and achieving the departmental goals
• Ensure safe execution of capital jobs.
• Receive/Issue safety work permit and ensure the strict adherence in field by the fellow employees & Contract employees.
• Review procedure cum checklist against the OEM guide lines/ Good Engineering   practices for maintenance process
• Understand the requirement of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) & HIRA (Hazards Identification & Risk Analysis) and carry out as & when required.
• Carry out the root cause analysis of the failure
• Maintaining the equipment history in SAP. Responsible for timely closure of SAP   notification.
• Should be ready to take the new assignment / Change the working methods according to  Management requirement
• Provide supervision and mentoring for staff at equivalent or lower grades.

COORDINATING

• With production for taking SWP/AVI communication
• With maintenance for coordinating of routine activities
• With other departments from time to time

MANPOWER PLANNING

• Managing subordinates under him/ her and planning the work accordingly.
• To facilitate and conduct training classes

OTHER RESPONSIBILITY

• Participates in various cross functional teams
• Participates in knowledge sharing exercise and ensures dissemination of tacit and explicit knowledge through proper channel.
• Take corrective action for the non-conformity found during internal/external audit within the stipulated time period.
• Ensuring housekeeping during and after any maintenance work done in the respective area/ department
• Responsible for all the safety and EHS responsibilities listed in ISO process of the department
• Captures all the suggestions given by respective area employees and contract workmen.
