Technical project leader with Work experience on long term projects

Must be from Engineering / R & D Background

Genset Industry experience +Experience current product system, VAVE projects experience new product release process

Experience in leading long term development projects

Typically work in technical organizations across the corporation.

Technical specialist or group leaders working across the corporation in worldwide technical center groups

Knowledge of UG, CAD, Ansys tools is must to Design/Analysis leader operate within a standard, structured development process

Experience in Super BOM EBOM, MBOM Configuration by using Options and Variants, manage Configuration Rules for product feature dependencies

Define configuration/compatibility rules as they are defined, provides feedback and prevents users from going down a dead-end configuration path

Specialize in a particular product design/analysis area, like Power Generation, Marine, Filtration, Plant and/or Manufacturing Center, engine subsystem (e.g. fuel systems, air-handling systems, major castings systems, power transfer systems, lube/cooling systems, housings/seals systems, application options systems, after treatment systems, etc.), and/or other products.

NPI / VPI Process -

Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) for major system development and Current product support process for derivative, tailoring, and maintenance of systems

SAP -

The person need to understand the generator Business process and need to support BOM Management in SAP

Design/Analysis specialist/leader operate within a standard, structured development process, either Six Sigma, New Package Introduction (NPI) for major system development, or Value Package Change (VPC) process for derivative, tailoring, and maintenance of systems.

Conduct system requirements and design FMEAs and, if necessary, Hazard Analyses to ensure product risks are understood and appropriately addressed in the system designs.

Should use expertise of generator subsystems like cooling system, exhaust, alternator system etc. to move through the component development (or subsystem) process

Knowledge of benefits and limitations of the development tools and follow them in day to day work: Engineering standards, McParts, DVPSOR, FIRG, rigs, analysis tools, material limits, and failure analysis techniques.

- Should follow DFA, DFMEA, SPC process for product improvements

Has basic test cell knowledge including how a test cell works, the process for installing and removing an engine, and basic troubleshooting skills to coordinate with test engineering and other sections of business

Guide engineering team on key tests needed to verify and validate the component or subsystem along with test plan process.

Knowledge of CAD and soft analysis tools is must to promote analysis lead design and can facilitate the use of these tools. Able to read drawings and knows CofC features. Understands performance interactions with their component (or subsystem).

Work with team for manufacturing and rework processes during proto or final component development.

Understands supplier capabilities. Communicates and works with the suppliers while keeping propriety information safe

Interact and Help Business Team to model existing products and translate them to Variant Configuration.

Provide a base product configuration that is 100% Functional BOM and allow customers change/enhance the base configuration by selecting alternatives or upgrading

Experience in Super BOM EBOM, MBOM Configuration by using Options and Variants, manage Configuration Rules for product feature dependencies

Define configuration/compatibility a rule as they are defined, provide feedback and prevent users from going down a dead-end configuration path

The person needs to understand the generator Business process and need to support BOM Management in SAP

Person need to prepare best practices for Product Configuration.
