Job Details

Responsible for indirect tax compliance (tax payments and return filings)
Management of indirect tax related balance sheet accounts
Analysis and finalization of tax positions adopted in relation to applicability of tax, tax returns and other filings
Management of Service tax audit and VAT Assessments including review of all substantive written submissions
Work with cross-functional team (marketing, finance, IT etc.) for transactional support on new product and business development activities
Deciding upon appeals and other legal recourses arising from disputed audits, assessments and subsequent appellate proceedings
Engaging, managing requisite legal firms/ other resources for effective representation before courts/ appellate authorities
Representation before assessing and audit authorities through consultancy/ legal firms
Managing overall engagement/ relationship and terms & conditions with all tax vendors/ advisors
Engagement with JV leadership: To advise on status of ongoing disputes, legislative developments having business impact

Experience of tax integrations in Oracle ERP & other integrated Systems/Subsystems.
Self-starter, keen learner, team worker, innovative and problem-solver.
Experience of working with Regulators/Government Authorities e.g. RBI, NHB, CAG etc.
