Job Details

• Perform analysis and design of steel structures like pipe racks, duct support structures including but not limited to collection of inputs from other section, load calculation, STAAD analysis, preparation of detailed design calculation report for steel structures
• Review of Design calculation reports, STAAD model, design drawings prepared by engineering partner before submitting to client
• Review of technical and commercial offer by structural steel fabrication and supply vendor (Both Indian and International vendors)
• Vendor evaluation (technical) of structural steel vendors (Both Indian and International vendors)
• Review of 3D Model of steel structure using TEKLA Software prepared Internally or by external vendor
• Review of structural steel 2D shop drawings/assembly drawings prepared Internally or by external vendor as per requirement
• Review of connection design calculations prepared by third party based in International design codes
• Co-coordinating with Procurement section for structural steel supply and fabrication works
• Coordinating with design engineering partner regarding technical clarifications/quires and input drawings/details required for the preparation of 3D Modal and shop drawings
• Visit and stay in fabrication shop or construction site to clarify quires regarding the drawings issued for fabrication and erection.

• The candidate should have experience in Design of steel structures like Boiler support frame, Power house building, coal bunkers, material handing structures, pipe racks , Ducts with the key skills/experiences mentioned below.
• Hands on Experience in structural steel analysis and design (of pipe racks, platforms, steel buildings, power house building, material handling structures) using STAAD Pro Software
• Hands on Experience in structural steel connection design and detailing.
• Experience in preparing sketch of structural steel general arrangement drawings, connection for designers and experience in review of structural steel drawings and fabrication drawings.
• The candidate shall have experience and capable of doing vendor evaluation (for fabrication and supply of structural steel) and review of technical offer submitted by various fabrication /supply vendors for structural steel
• The candidate shall have experience in managing and controlling the various activities involved in fabrication of structural steel including shop drawing preparation, material control
• Design experience in RCC foundations and super structure will be an added advantage
